The variability of this object was first noted February 9, 2015 in the Catalina Real-Time Survey project SNHunt.  The CRTS designation is CSS_J135307.3+404806 and was published in SNHunt Variables V7.0 in 2017 as a QSO candidate with a variability from 18.5-20.
