Type: SN Ia
Remarks: We obtained an optical spectrum of ASASSN-18ef on UT 2018 Mar 4.4 with OSMOS mounted on the MDM 2.4m telescope at KPNO. The spectrum is that of a normal SN Ia around maximum light. The best fit template from SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007) is the Type Ia 2005mc at -2.2 days.
