Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Craig PellegrinoGlobal SN ProjectSN Ia0.010621Global SN ProjectUsing Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia, including SN 2005cf between two weeks and one week before max. The supernova is closest to IC 5173B (z = 0.010621, 20096dF...C...0000J; value from NED). Assuming this redshift, we measure a Si II velocity of approximately 17,000 km/s from the 6347/6371 doublet, and a Ca II velocity of approximately 20,000 km/s from the NIR triplet. The B-band absolute magnitude roughly coeval with the spectrum is approximately -16.8. The absolute magnitude and high velocities indicate that the SN is young. Further followup is encouraged.2019TNSCR2211....1B
