Date Received (UTC): 2021-02-22 16:10:18 Sender: Sebastian Gomez
Group: FLEET
Sebastian Gomez, Griffin Hosseinzadeh, Edo Berger (Harvard CfA) Peter Blanchard (Northwestern) report/s a classification of object: SN 2019xaq
Type: SLSN-IRedshift: 0.2
Remarks: 2019xaq was selected as part of our FLEET effort to find superluminous supernovae (Gomez et al., 2020, ApJ, 904, 74) and classified using template matching with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024). The redshift of z = 0.2 was determined from host galaxy emission lines.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2020-01-23 00:00:00
Instrument: BINOSPEC
Telescope: MMT Observatory 6.5m
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2019xaq
