TNS Classification Report No. 8125 [ 2020TNSCR3728....1H ]
Date Received (UTC): 2020-12-09 03:03:41 Sender: Daichi Hiramatsu
Group: Global SN Project
Daichi Hiramatsu, Griffin Hosseinzadeh, Jamison Burke, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Craig Pellegrino report/s a classification of object: SN 2020able
Type: SN IcRedshift: 0.024755
Remarks: The blue continuum with He I, He II, and C III flash features at the host redshift (0.024755; 2007SDSS6.C…0000:, via NED) suggests a young core-collapse supernova. Although the flash-dominated spectrum prevents its definite sub-type classification at this early phase, we tentatively classify it as an SN Ibn based on some similarities with SN 2019uo (Gangopadhyay et al. 2020, ApJ, 889, 170). Further follow-up is encouraged.
