Type: SN Ia
Redshift: 0.048

Remarks: Spectra of SN 2020qic were obtained with the Liverpool Telescope + SPRAT spectrograph at the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos and with the Lick Observatory 3m Shane Telescope + KAST spectrograph. In the 3m Shane Telescope + KAST observations the host galaxy was also placed on the slit and it gives z = 0.048 from numerous emission lines. For both spectra SNID (S. Blondin & J. L. Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) shows good matches to the normal SN Ia 2005eu at one week before maximum light or earlier.
