WyattGlobal SN ProjectSN Ia0.010814Global SN ProjectUsing Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia, including SN 2006bt five days before peak. The supernova is closest to IC 2200A (z = 0.010814, D_L~46.7 Mpc, DM~33.35; 2003AJ....126.2268W; values from NED). Adopting this redshift, we measure velocities of approximately 14,000 km/s for the Si II 6355 line, and approximately 16,000 km/s for the Ca II NIR triplet. The strength of the Si II 5872 line indicates an underluminous SN Ia, although all reasonable SNID fits are to normal SNe Ia and not like 91bg-like SNe Ia. We note a relatively high Milky Way reddening of E(B-V)=0.163, based on the Schlafly & Finkbeiner (2011) recalibration of the Schlegel, Finkbeiner & Davis (1998) dust map (value from NED). The high velocities, blue continuum (after correcting for extinction), two day non-detection from DLT40 (TNS TR No. 87181), and Si line ratio indicates this is a young, underluminous SN Ia, probably within a few days of its explosion. Further followup is encouraged.2020TNSCR3212....1B
