Group: Global SN Project
Daichi Hiramatsu, Yael Dgany, Iair Arcavi, Jamison Burke, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Craig Pellegrino report/s a classification of object: SN 2021ell
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.025
Remarks: Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find good fits to several normal Type Ia SNe around 10 days after maximum. A redshift of 0.025 is estimated from the narrow host galaxy lines.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2021-03-28 18:09:46
Instrument: FLOYDS-S
Telescope: Faulkes Telescope South
