Type: SN Ia
Redshift: 0.14

Remarks: An optical spectrum of SN 2022ccz, obtained on UT 2022 February 23.1 with the 3.58m Italian Telescopio Nazionale Galileo (Canary Islands, Spain) and DOLORES, resembles those of Type Ia supernovae a few days before B-band maximum. GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008) provides good matches with normal and 91T-like Type Ia supernovae between -8 and -2 days. We favour a phase close to peak based on the almost flat ZTF light curve. We have adopted the host redshift for the supernova.
