Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Yael Dgany(TAU), Jamison Burke, Daichi Hiramatsu, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Craig Pellegrino report/s a classification of object: SN 2022eaz
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.0607
Remarks: Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia near maximum light, including SN 2005hf about a week after maximum. The supernova is closest to WISEA J135336.01+374408.1 ( z = 0.0607, 2004SDSS2.C...0000:, value from NED) with Si II 6355 velocity of approximately 9,000 km/s. Adopting the luminosity distance computed from this redshift ( 273.7 Mpc ) ; the g-band absolute magnitude of the object is about -18 (apparent magnitude 19.5, from ZTF). This absolute magnitude and velocity is consistent with an SN Ia near maximum light.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
