Jamison Burke, D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Megan Newsome, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Craig Pellegrino, Giacomo Terreran report/s a classification of object: SN 2022ilv

Type: SN Ia-SC
Redshift: 0.031

Remarks: Using Superfit (Howell et al. 2005, ApJ, 634, 1190) and SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to super-Chandrasekhar SNe Ia. No object within 4 arcminutes has a redshift listed in NED, so we adopt the redshift estimated by SNID: 0.031. Adopting this redshift we measure a Si II 6355 velocity of approximately 12,000 km/s. Adopting the distance modulus computed from this redshift (35.7), the r-band absolute magnitude of the object roughly coeval with the spectrum is -19 (apparent magnitude 16.7, from ZTF). This absolute magnitude and velocity is consistent with a rising super-C SN Ia. Further followup is encouraged, as is revising this redshift or classification as more data are obtained.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:
