Filipp Romanov report/s a classification of object: AT 2022ouu
Type: Nova
Remarks: The spectrum of AT 2022ouu (PNV J00423928+4115169) was obtained at my request during 1800 seconds (PATAG proposal AZ22A01; PI: F. Romanov) on 2022-08-04, midtime 03:58:02 UT, remotely using the low resolution (approximately R = 350 = 18 Å) SPRAT spectrograph on the 2-m robotic Liverpool Telescope (La Palma, Spain) with the blue-optimised mode (grating option). The spectrum has been reduced by Andrea Pastorello (INAF-OAPd). The spectrum (calibrated by me) shows strong emission lines: Hα, Hβ, Fe II (42, 48, 49 multiplets) and Na I D (or He 5876); Fe II lines are as strong as Hβ. I measured the FWHM of the Hα line ~ 34 Å, corresponding to the velocity of ~ 1550 km/s. Based on the above, I conclude that AT 2022ouu is M31 nova of the Fe II spectroscopic type.
