F. Poidevin, I. Pérez-Fournon (IAC & ULL), Z. Delgado-González (ULL), S. Geier (GRANTECAN & IAC), C. Jiménez Angel (IAC & ULL), R. Könyves-Tóth (Konkoly Observatory, Univ. of Szeged), R. Marques-Chaves (Univ. of Geneva), C. M. B. Omand (The Oskar Klein Centre), and R. Shirley (Univ. of Southampton) on behalf of the SGLF SLSN group report/s a classification of object: SN 2023cmx
Type: SLSN-IRedshift: 0.24
Remarks: AT 2023cmx (SGLF_LCOGT_7, ATLAS23csk, ZTF23aaccacy) was selected for NOT ALFOSC spectroscopy as a SLSN candidate from the properties of its light curve based on our Las Cumbres Observatory global telescope network imaging, the ZTF public alerts, ATLAS forced photometry, and our SGLF ZTF database and filters. The classification, redshift, and phase were determined from our NOT ALFOSC spectrum using SNID (S. Blondin & J. L. Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), with good matches to the type-I SLSN PTF12dam at z = 0.24 at about 8 to 10 days before maximum light. The ZTF light curve is available at the ZTF/LSST brokers Lasair, ALeRCE, ANTARES and Fink: https://lasair-ztf.lsst.ac.uk/objects/ZTF23aaccacy/ https://alerce.online/object/ZTF23aaccacy https://antares.noirlab.edu/loci/ANT2023u0rvwjgvtt66 https://fink-portal.org/ZTF23aaccacy
