TNS Classification Report No. 14988 [ 2023TNSCR1288....1F ]
Date Received (UTC): 2023-05-31 23:13:05 Sender: Michael Fulton
Group: OxQUB
M. Fulton, S. Srivastav, M. Nicholl, K. W. Smith, D. R. Young, T. Moore, J. Weston, S. A. Sim (QUB), S. J. Smartt (Oxford/QUB), L. Shingles (GSI/QUB) report/s a classification of object: SN 2023hpd
Type: SN IInRedshift: 0.0198
Remarks: Several matches with SN II around maximum light were obtained using SNID (e.g., SN1996L at t = +5d). Redshift from the known host. Given the long rise time, and strong emission lines, an SN IIn classification is viable.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2023-05-31 02:59:10
Instrument: SPRAT
Telescope: Liverpool Telescope
Remarks: Spectrum was obtained with SPRAT on the Liverpool Telescope and reduced using the integrated quick reduction pipeline.
