Date Received (UTC): 2023-05-30 20:54:33 Sender: Craig Pellegrino
Group: Global SN Project
Craig Pellegrino (UCSB/LCO), Griffin Hosseinzadeh (UA), Joseph Farah (UCSB/LCO), D. Andrew Howell, Curtis McCully, Megan Newsome, Estefania Padilla Gonzalez, Giacomo Terreran report/s a classification of object: SN 2023jkl
Type: SN II
Remarks: Blue and featureless spectrum. The V-band light curve, obtained by Las Cumbres Observatory, has plateaued at 18.2 mag over the last five days. Both the featureless spectrum and light curve plateau are consistent with a young Type II SN within a week or two of explosion.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2023-05-30 01:28:08
Instrument: Goodman
Telescope: Southern Astrophysical Research Telescope
