Remarks: YSE, the Young Supernova Experiment, reports the classification of SN2023mjq as a type IIn. Observations were performed on GMOS-N on the night of 07/09/2023 UT. The SN is at z=0.0383 in SDSS J140938.82+093339.9, at a phase=6 +/- 1 day post-explosion. Classifications were done using Astrodash (https://astrodash.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) and SNID (https://people.lam.fr/blondin.stephane/software/snid/), initial observations showed that the object might be an AGN, however, after further analysis we determined the object is type IIn. We find that SN 2020ybn is a good spectral match.
