Panos Charalampopoulos report/s a classification of object: SN 2023mud
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.06591
Remarks: We report the classification of AT2023mud as a Ia supernova based on an optical spectrum obtained with the Nordic Optical Telescope on 2023-07-19 (i.e., MJD 60144.22). The transient is coincident with the nucleus of the host galaxy (WISEA J004107.65-093746.3; z=0.03963208). Comparison with a library of supernovae spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), suggests AT2023mud is an around-peak SN Ia at a redshift of z~0.0396.
