The transient is coincident with the nucleus of the host galaxy. Comparison with a library of supernovae spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), suggests AT2023psu is an around peak SN Ia at a redshift of z~0.058. 2023TNSCR2116....1C
