I. Salmaso (INAF OAPd, Unipd), G. Valerin (INAF OAPd), F. Guidolin (Unipd) report/s a classification of object: SN 2023sil

Type: SN II
Redshift: 0.03755

Remarks: Hydrogen rich spectrum, SN 1987A-like light curve. The spectrum shows that AT 2023sil is a Type II SN. The Hα and Hβ lines present a P-Cygni profile, with the absorption minimum at about -6000 km/s and -5000 km/s from rest wavelength, respectively. The w-band light curve collected by Pan-STARRS shows a double peak, which suggests a 1987A-like event.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2024-01-31 21:40:00
Instrument: AFOSC
