Date Received (UTC): 2023-11-01 16:03:30 Sender: Aaron Do
Group: SCAT
Aaron Do (Institute for Astronomy, University of Hawaii) on behalf of the SCAT team report/s a classification of object: SN 2023wbs
Type: SN IbRedshift: 0.038
Remarks: Strong emission lines from unsubtracted galaxy nucleus. With those clipped, SNID presents fits to various SNe I. The phase (near peak) and absolute magnitude (-16 to -17) are most consistent with SNe Ib. Redshift from SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007).
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2023-11-01 14:09:19
Instrument: SNIFS
Telescope: UH 88inch
