Jingyuan Zhao, Xing Gao (Xingming Obs.) report/s a classification of object: AT 2023wvl

Type: CV

Remarks: A classification spectrum of AT 2023wvl was obtained by XOSS. It shows a blue continuum with a series of prominent Balmer absorption lines including Hγ, Hδ, Hε, Hζ and Hη. The spectral characteristics and an outburst amplitude of about 8 mag (above a quiescent level of Vmag=21.3) suggest AT 2023wvl is a dwarf nova .

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2023-11-07 16:02:26
Instrument: Other
Telescope: Other

Remarks: We obtained a spectrum of the transient using the Alpy 600 spectrograph mounted on the 0.6-m f/8 Ritchey-Chretien telescope at Xingming Observatory. The spectrograph provides a wavelength coverage of 3730-7400 A.
