22606 2025-12-17 12:14:56 Panos Charalampopoulos Panos Charalampopoulos None Other 1 We present a NOT/ALFOSC optical spectrum of the rising optical transient AT 2025afvr (see also AstroNote #2025-. The spectrum is blue and featureless. There are no evident host galaxy lines and no spectroscopic redshift for the host. The host galaxy is faint and there is not a clear resolved nucleus, but the transient appears central. Based on the spectrum, the location of the transient, and its persistent blue optical colours (g-r ~ -0.4), it is possible that AT 2025afvr is a featureless tidal disruption event, however another type of transient cannot be ruled-out yet. Further follow-up to determine the nature of the transient is encouraged. Until then, we classify the transient as "Other". 2025TNSCR5020....1C
