Joseph Farah (UCSB/LCO), Moira Andrews (UCSB/LCO), Chris Ni (UCSB/LCO), D. Andrew Howell (UCSB/LCO), Curtis McCully (UCSB/LCO) report/s a classification of object: SN 2025dif
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.062
Remarks: We report the classification of AT 2025dif as a SN Ia. Using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), we find best fits to SNe Ia at approximately peak light. The SN host may be WISEA J090909.21-130416.4, but no values for redshift are available in NED. SNID finds a best-fit redshift of 0.062. Additional follow-up is encouraged.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-03-05 10:48:50
Instrument: FLOYDS-S
Telescope: Faulkes Telescope South
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://www.wis-tns.org/object/2025dif
