Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.01
Remarks: We report the classification of SN 2025scw as SN II. The spectrum shows a best match to SN II at approximately peak using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024). There is a clear and prominent Hydrogen-alpha feature. SNID finds a best-fit redshift of z~0.009, consistent with the nearby host galaxy of NGC 0424 (z = 0.011, d = 47.8 Mpc; value from NED). Additional follow-up is encouraged.
