Request to split: Two distinct transients merged by error

Dear TNS Admin,

I am writing to request a split for this object. Our high-resolution JWST NIRCam images clearly indicate that this single TNS entry actually contains two independent, distinct sources that happen to be very close in projection. Both sources were discovered by us (JWST-NEXUS team).

As shown in the attached file (18_multi_epoch_cutouts.pdf), the new source was discovered around MJD 61127.4 (deep ep06). In contrast, AT 2025xcw was discovered to the south-west of this new transient around MJD 60827.8 (deep ep01) and has already disappeared in the subsequent epochs.

The new source was incorrectly merged into the existing entry for AT 2025xcw due to the small angular separation (~0.3"). Could you please manually split them and assign a new TNS designation for this second transient?

Thank you for your time and help!

Best regards,
Mingyang Zhuang on behalf of the JWST-NEXUS team
