Type: SN Ic
Redshift: 0.0321

Remarks: The spectrum displays a strong Si absorption line, along with features of other metal elements, along with a lack of clear He emission, indicating 2026bpq to be a type Ic supernova. The supernova is close to maximum brightness at the spectral epoch, and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008) finds good matches with other SNe Ic assuming reddening of E(B-V) = 0.2 - 0.3 mag. We adopted the host galaxy redshift for the classification.
