G. Csoernyei, B. Leibundgut, J. Spyromilio, S. Blondin (ESO), S. Taubenberger (TUM / MPA), W. Hillebrandt (MPA) report/s a classification of object: SN 2026flk
Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.051
Remarks: The spectrum shows weak and suppressed features of H and He along with a blue continuum, consistent with an early-phase Type II supernova. We adopted the known redshift of the host for the classification.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2026-03-22 05:55:12
Instrument: FORS2
Telescope: The Very Large Telescope - UT1
Remarks: Quick-reduction spectrum
