24092 2026-06-20 12:47:33 Panos Charalampopoulos Panos Charalampopoulos (ICE-CSIC) None TDE 0.081 1 We report the tentative classification of AT2026pag as a Tidal Disruption Event (TDE) based on an optical spectrum obtained with the Nordic Optical Telescope on 2026-06-19 (i.e., MJD 61211.19). At a redshift of ~ 0.081, we identify NaI D and Halpha. We detect broad Halpha, potentially HeI 5876 and a blend of broad Hbeta and HeII 4686. Comparison with a library of supernovae spectra using SNID-SAGE (Stoppa F., Smartt S.~J., 2026, arXiv, arXiv:2603.28741. doi:10.48550/arXiv.2603.28741), suggests AT2026pag is an around peak TDE (see attached images). We note that the g-r constant colour evolution to be around -0.2. At that redshift, and correcting for the MW extinction, the current absolute g-band magnitude is Mg ~ -18.9. *Extra note: A bright star was included in the blue edge of the slit, leading to artefacts in wavelengths bluer than ~ 4800 AA (observed wavelength). That is why our spectrum is cut in the blue. However, we believe that the classification is not affected and the target is probably a TDE. 2026TNSCR2636....1C
