Sebastian Gomez (STScI), Daichi Hiramatsu (Harvard CfA), Edo Berger (Harvard CfA) report/s a classification of object: SN 2022lvm
Type: SN IIRedshift: 0.143
Remarks: We classify 2022lvm as a Type II SN due to the presence of strong broad Balmer emission lines. We note however there is significant contamination from the underlying host galaxy in the spectrum. We determine a redshift of z = 0.143 from narrow host emission lines. At this redshift the peak absolute magnitude of the SN is significantly brighter than normal SNe IIP at M_r ~ -20.6.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2022-01-25 00:00:00
Instrument: BINOSPEC
Telescope: MMT Observatory 6.5m
