The transient is coincident with the nucleus of the host galaxy. Comparison with a library of supernovae spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), suggests AT2023pcs is an around-peak SN Ia at a redshift of z~0.056. 2023TNSCR2094....1C
