Group: XOSS
Jingyuan Zhao, Xing Gao (Xingming Obs.), Kenta Taguchi (Kyoto University) report/s a classification of object: AT 2023qql
Type: CV
Remarks: A classification spectrum of AT 2023qql was obtained by XOSS. It is a blue continuum, no obvious features above the noise level. This transient has been confirmed as a new low-mass X-ray binary (LMXB) hosting a black hole candidate according to A. J. Castro-Tirado et al., see ATel#16208, https://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=16208 . Multi-band photometric and spectroscopic observations are strongly encouraged.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2023-08-24 15:48:16
Instrument: Other
Telescope: Other
Remarks: We obtained the low-resolution spectrum using the Alpy 600 spectrograph attached to a 0.6-m f/8 Ritchey-Chretien telescope.
