Kohki Uno (Kyoto University), Tatsuya Nakaoka (Hiroshima University), Kenta Taguchi (Kyoto University), Keiichi Maeda (Kyoto University), Masaki Tsurumi (Kyoto University) report/s a classification of object: SN 2023uta
Type: SLSN-IRedshift: 0.036812
Remarks: Our spectrum is similar to that of SLSN-I 2017egm. In addition, considering its photo-z redshift (z=0.037), the absolute magnitude reaches ~-20mag. Therefore, we propose that this transient is an SLSN-I.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2023-10-12 19:58:25
Instrument: Other
Telescope: Other
Remarks: We performed a spectroscopic follow-up observation with KOOLS-IFU mounted on the 3.8-m Seimei telescope at Okayama Observatory of Kyoto University. The spectral resolution is ~ 500, and the wavelength coverage is 4100-8500 A.
