The Hβ (4861 Å) line exhibits a FWHM of ≈2000 km/s. A likely progenitor is identified as DR3 3816231274612268544 in the GAIA DR3 database (Gaia collaboration et al. 2023) with a g-mag of 20.428 implying a brightness increase of approximately 5 magnitudes (Δmag ≈ 5.2). These features are characteristic of a cataclysmic variable (CV). We propose to classify 2025img as a CV.
