Andreoli.V, Balcon.C, Farina.A , Ochner.P , Reguitti.A report/s a classification of object: AT 2025img
Type: CV
Remarks: A low resolution spectrum was obtained with the 1.22-m telescope and B&C spectrograph (dispersion: 2.25 Å/pixel) located at the Asiago Observatory (Italy) on 2025-04-27.831 UT. The spectrum shows a blue continuum with Balmer absorption lines, except for Hα (6562.8 Å) which has a weak emission caused by the accretion disk. The Hβ (4861 Å) line exhibits a FWHM of ≈2000 km/s. A likely progenitor is identified as DR3 3816231274612268544 in the GAIA DR3 database (Gaia collaboration et al. 2023) with a g-mag of 20.428 implying a brightness increase of approximately 5 magnitudes (Δmag ≈ 5.2). These features are characteristic of a cataclysmic variable (CV). We propose to classify 2025img as a CV.
