Classification of AT2018cow

Despite intense multiwavelength examination, the nature of AT2018cow remains unknown. Its rapid evolution and location in the spiral arm of a star-forming galaxy suggests a massive-star origin. However, the UVOIR spectra resemble those predicted for a tidal disruption event: the disruption of a main sequence star or a white dwarf by an intermediate-mass black hole (Kuin et al. 2018; Perley et al. 2018). The luminous radio and millimeter emission, together with luminous and highly-variable X-ray emission, suggest continuous energy injection by an accreting black hole or a highly-magnetized neutron star (Margutti et al. 2018; Ho et al. 2018). This could happen both in a supernova, and in a tidal disruption event. Therefore, I would recommend changing the type to "AT2018cow" from "SN2018cow," and removing the Ic-BL classification.

Spectrum: very blue

This morning (19-06-2018) I have taken some spectra of the object: it is very blue and seems to continue around the magnitude determined yesterday. I can appreciate a strong asymmetry in its spectral profile: in the Spectral Distribution of Energy the maximum is in the blue sector, as can be seen in the attached image.
